Rename a folder in Arcgis server manager

In Arcgis server manager, a folder was created and services are published inside it. Now I want to rename that folder. But the 'Rename' option was disabled. How to fix this issue? Kindly suggest me.

Hi,

According to the documentation you cannot renamed a folder if it contains services.

You can only renamed it from ArcCatalog if the folder is empty.

Just want to confirm: Is this still really the case? We can't even spin down the ArcGIS Server site and rename the directories manually? (Add a GIS server folder in ArcGIS Desktop—Documentation | Documentation for ArcGIS Enterprise)

Yes, this is a known limitation. ArcGIS Server folders cannot be renamed if they contain a service:

Add a GIS server folder in ArcGIS Desktop—Publish services | Documentation

As long as the folder is empty, you can rename it. Once the folder contains a service, you cannot rename the folder. You cannot drag services between folders.
