Team:
I am trying to upgrade the ArcGIS Server version from 10.1 to 10.2 version in the Linux server. The following documentation shows that it will upgrade while run the Setup. But it's installed the ArcGIS 10.2 version. Now both version was available in my server. I have used the same user(arcgis) & same path to install the both 10.1 & 10.2 version. But the setup was not detect my existing ArcGIS Server 10.1 on the linux server. Also there is no prompt of upgrade. After the installation it's required the authorization, but the authorization has not required for 10.2 if 10.1 has already authorized.

http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/install-guides/arcgis-server-unix/10.2/index.html#/Upgrading_a_previous_version_of_ArcGIS_for_Server/00sz00000035000000/

Please let us know to resolve this issue.

Yes, the upgrade works, I've tested it. However, I have also seen many upgrades from 10.1 to 10.2 fail. Not only Linux, Windows too.

If continued problems, try a clean uninstall of everything, then install 10.2.
