    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;In Portal for ArcGIS, you can have any number of ArcGIS servers can be added to it.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To make one of the server as a hosting server in your portal, the hosting server should have "Server Managed Database".&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Server managed database either it can be a &lt;A href="http://server.arcgis.com/en/server/latest/publish-services/windows/registering-your-data-with-arcgis-server-using-arcgis-for-desktop.htm"&gt;Enterprise Geodatabase&lt;/A&gt;​ or you can configure &lt;A href="http://server.arcgis.com/en/data-store/latest/install/windows/welcome-to-arcgis-data-store-installation-guide.htm"&gt;ArcGIS Datastore&lt;/A&gt;​.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <title>Federate server / hosting server / portal for arcgis 10.3.1</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i just federated my server in my portal. (screenshot below)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;IMG alt="moew federated.PNG" class="image-1 jive-image" src="/legacyfs/online/196073_moew federated.PNG" style="width: 620px; height: 408px;" /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and in the hosting server i can see my federated server.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;But everytime i choose it, it goes back directly yo no hosting server.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anyone know how to fix this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Are you using Data Store for ArcGIS or are you working with another RDBMS?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do you see any errors in either the server or the portal logs with regard to this issue?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When you publish directly to the GIS Server, are features copied into your server managed database? &lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
