Hi,

Currently, in the GeoEvent service only able to view the total count of in and out elements. When building service with multiple processors, filter, input and output, and if there is any GeoEvent lost without purpose, it's really bit time costly to figure out in which element it is lost. If GeoEvent could break down the total in and out count into each element and display the arrived count dynamically above it with a certain approach(e.g. a label) that would be life-saver. If could go further, able to preview the arrived GeoEvent content dynamically, that makes GeoEvent really adorable.

Cheers,

Minbin

Hello Minbin –

We have something planned as part of enhancements being developed for the GeoEvent Manager web application which I think you'll like. The upcoming 10.8 release will include a "GeoEvent Sampler" as part of the service designer which will enable you to click on any node – input, processor, filter, or output – in a GeoEvent Service and "refresh" a cache to see a sample of the event records.

Inputs, of course, would only show you a sample of the event records they had successfully ingest and adapted to create GeoEvents (e.g. event records for processing). But you could select a filter or processor and refresh the event cache to see what came into the processor (or filter) and what came out.

You will be able to toggle this "GeoEvent Sampler" on/off to collect a sample of event records to see what an input is producing, what a processor or filter is receiving and producing, and what an output is receiving to process for dissemination. Again, this is actively being developed for the 10.8 release, so specific details are still being worked out.

– RJ
