idea Geocoding could directly accept national coordinates in ArcGIS Enterprise Ideas

Hi,

we’ve identified a potential improvement related to geocoding/search functionality.

Currently, search works well with addresses or WGS84 coordinates, but there’s no convenient way to search using national coordinate systems (e.g., LKS94). In practice, we often receive locations as X/Y values, which means we have to manually convert them before using search.

It would be really useful if search/geocoding could directly accept national coordinates and return the corresponding location or address – similar to how it currently works with WGS84.

This would simplify workflows and reduce the need for additional transformation steps.

Might be worth considering adding this to the backlog.

Both the Search widget in Web AppBuilder and ExB support coordinates in the format X,Y:EPSG code. For example: 2500000,7500000:2953

I was surpised when I learned about this a few months ago. It is in the documentation for the search widget.

I believe LKS94 is EPSG 3346:

Bernie.
