We wish there was a way to prevent this backup prior to the restore, accepting the risks that if the restore fails there would be no rollback to anything or even just a rollback to a clean slate (no data).</SPAN><BR /><SPAN>Use case:</SPAN><BR /><SPAN>In our environment when performing a WebGISDR restore it takes well over an hour to backup our 500GB pgdata folder to the directory mentioned before the software even starts the restore. Having 99.9% availability requirements, every hour truly counts when doing a restore.</SPAN></P><P><BR /><SPAN>We love that when performing an upgrade of Portal there’s an option to not back up the content directory, accepting the risks of a failed upgrade. This saves us several hours.
