Ability for Share widget to include the BaseMap in a Web Application

Currently you can share the basemap with a web map but not with a web app. This functionality would be so useful as we have an application that covers many subjects i.e. Historic environment, Landscapes, Planning and each department would like to link to the application with different layers on and different basemaps.

I agree. The basemap selection should be an option in the Share widget.

I agree. The Share widget needs to also needs to include the basemap as a URL parameter. There are times when I want to focus the user's attention on the USA topo maps basemap, and other times when I want the viewers to look at the World Imagery basemap. This is isn't currently possible to do, as the Share widget will include data layers in the URL parameter, but not the basemap.
