idea Amazon S3 Bucket Data Storage for GDB Attachments in ArcGIS Enterprise Ideas

In a SaaS deployment of ArcGIS Server I would like to see ESRI leverage Amazon S3 as a storage platform for Geodatabase Attachments for both ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS.com so that I can easily scale while keeping costs manageable. Blob storage works well in a typical Enterprise environment but as more companies are moving to Public and Private Cloud deployments cheaper storage alternatives such as Amazon S3 make sense. Additionally this would be a great feature for Services published to ArcGIS.com which currently does not support attachment functionality.

Unbelievable idea for two reasons: 1. this idea was posted on year 2012, when S3 was still very new to most of us 2. I'm still voting for the idea in 2025/2026.
