We are developing a large ArcGIS Server 10.3 JavaScript API application. Currently we are using an ExportWebMap geoprocessing service and passing in JSON based on the ExportWebMap specification—Documentation (10.3 and 10.3.1) | ArcGIS for Server . A major problem we have is the legend. Our app depends on many types of layers including cluster, heat map and graphics layers. Currently we have no effective method to create legends for several of these. It would help considerably if there were more options to customize the legend. For example, it would be nice to add custom legend elements based on graphics and text, or even just graphics. It would also help to have more control over text elements and graphic elements in the MXD.

I am having this issue as well. Please ESRI! fix this.

There have been many improvements to printing since this Idea was originally logged.
