Ability to specify bottom elevation for a volume

Currently, any volume (extruded polygon with elevation) is anchored/extruded to the ground. There are use cases where volumes need to be in space - that is have an upper elevation and lower elevation (or a lower elevation and height). Please add the ability to create volumes that are not anchored to the ground.

@Willy If it makes any difference this is how airspace is modelled - I work in aviation, and we have a lot of users that would like to use this tool to model airspace, but need this as a prerequisite.

@Jay_Gregory If you have a 3D model, you can place it wherever you want.

There are a lot of free tools online that let you create 3D models. But yeah, it would be nice to be able to create a 3D model from an extruded polygon in ArcGIS Earth.

@Jay_Gregory, the polygon's "Extruded to ground" is aligned with this KML specification. However, the extruded polygon is not a strict volume, so I am afraid other issues might arise when you use it as a volume. Thanks for the 3D model suggestion from @GeoffroyRicher-Lalonde , you might try this option. In ArcGISEarth 2.4, we have updated the support for editing the 3D model in KML, it can be easily to duplicate and edit them, you may have a try. @GeoffroyRicher-Lalonde What are some free tools used to create those models? I'm not familiar - and curious if they are easy to pick up for our user base. ArcGIS Earth is so simple, I'm afraid the training on the 3d model generation would be more complicated than ArcGIS Earth itself.
