Thank you that solved it for me. I had a FGDB with a long name in a folder with the same long name and I just moved it out of the folder and it worked.

I recently received an upgrade to my PC and am running Windows 10 Enterprise 64 bit. It apparently is fully compatible with ArcGIS 10.3.1, so it should not be an issue.

I am frequently losing data connections with data that is stored in a filedatabase. The featureclass is not affected in any way, other than losing edits. When I restart the featurclass is there, I just have to repeat my edits. This will happen many times throughout the day and is very frustrating.

It is not a network issue as the network is always available and unaffected. It also does not appear to affect data from the SDE. Only data in a filedatabse.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and if so what was the resolve?

Thank you

Hi @JimBirch

I got this error this morning, and I feel it has something to do with either the length of the filepath or the characters in the filepath. The FGDB I was trying to use was buried very deep in the file system. When I copied the FGDB locally to a very simple filepath I did not get the error anymore.

HTH

Pete
