Im trying to install student edition software, I get the authorization, but when I go to open arcmaps it says its not authorized... Please help.Authorization

Tthis looks like an old thread that popped to the top for some reason (??)....basically the same question as Authorization issues for ArcGIS 10.1 So, I'll give same response....but others may have better info.

Aare you getting any specific errors? Seems there are a few others that have had similar questions like this. This is the only one that I've seen an answer

Error 7109 - ArcGIS Education trial Authorization Which may not be your issue, but Stuart's advice is still pretty accurate.

V Stuart Foote has a blog Query shortcut to find all prior ArcGIS for Desktop Installation, Configuration posts with a link to help search for license issues. That us his I found the link above. You may want to look thru that list to see if anything can help you situation, if the above doesn't.
