Python Interpreter not Opening in ArcMap 10.3

Hope there is a simple solution to this....essentially when I try and open the Python Interpreter in ArcMap (10.3) (button shown below), it fails to open. Indeed nothing happens. There are no problems when I select the Python Interpreter ArcCatalog (10.3 as well).

Has anyone had this issue? I'm kicking myself thinking its probably appearing off screen or something stupid. But I can't find a solution.

Not the end of the world but it would be useful to be able to utilise it

Try this: go to add/remove programs and do a repair on ArcGIS. Hopefully that'll do it. (If not you're probably going to remove it and re-install... uggh...)
