WebMap Selection Tool Issues, no more point/line selection

Good day. Working on making some edits to an existing and properly functioning dashboard, and have noticed the selection tool, is only Select By Rectangle. The point/line/polygon options are gone.

The only recent change is an update to the data in the back end, and addition of new widgets. Testing after the update, everything worked as expected, now going back in, the Selection Tool has changed.

Thanks for your question! With the June 2023 release of Dashboards we implemented a change in how selection works in the map. You actually don't need a point selection tool anymore but can now simply click on the feature in the map and it will be selected! This blog has all the details.
Existing dashboards were converted showing the rectangle selection tool. But if it is not necessary the dashboard author can remove the tool to only use the click-it-to-select-it behavior or switch to the lasso tool for added flexibility when selecting multiple features in the map. You'll find the controls at the top of the layer actions tab of the map configuration.
