Trouble setting Selector action in Dashboard

I'm trying to create actions in a Date Selector in ArcGIS Online. I would like the Date Selector to filter the content in a map, indicator widget, and pie chart. The data source in all 3 locations is the same but I can only get the action to work correctly within the map. When I try to set the same action on the pie chart or indicator widget the widget displays "No data". I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions?

I just figured something out but it doesn't solve my problem. When I try to add a date range filter directly on the above mentioned widgets it's not returning any data. At least I've narrowed down that the issue is not with the Selector. I'd consider that the issue could be with the data except that the filter does work on the same dataset within the map. Hmm.
