ArcGIS Dashboards and feature services from a federated GIS server

HI,

When trying to create a gauge from a feature service accessing a SQL db from a federated GIS server that is not the hosting server I see this:

Same service from 2 different GIS servers - hosting server and federated server

The layer does have query enabled and supports advanced statistics. I don't see this if I published the same service to the hosting server.

Has anyone seen this before?

Is this using the current ArcGIS Dashboard release or ArcGIS Dashboard beta?

Sorry, but I haven't seen this type of behavior before. It might be a bug. Can you please open an issue with Esri Tech Support so they can help investigate further?

Hi Derek,

It's 10.8.1 - upgraded from 10.5.1. All patches applied. This is using the default ArcGIS Dashboard App built into the Enterprise Portal.
