Operations Dashboard: Pie Chart Target for Actions

I have a map, list and pie chart in a dashboard. The list is a bunch of city names and it is the target for a filter action from the map: as the map zooms in, or, or pans, the list reacts accordingly. The map is also the target of a list action: select the name in the list, and zoom to the city on the map.

Is there a way to get the same sort of behavior with a pie chart?

The pie chart I've added has city names and a value field. When I make it the target of a map filter action it tosses a 'Cannot Access Data' error. If I make it the target of a list filter action, it pie chart just vanishes.
