The selector element and the list element interact as expected and the map element works as expected except for two categories. One category has 6 projects in it but only two of the polygons show up in the map element even though it displays correctly when I open the hosted feature layer view Visulization tab. The other category has 9 projects in it but the map element shows 14 different polygons instead of just 9.
