I know that the idea of a dashboard is mostly about the data insights... but in some cases, the interactive actions in Ops Dashboard would actually make it a very powerful platform for editing workflows!

Marco Wagemakers‌

Agree with Alix here. In my case, hypothetical 'what-ifs' for our admin team could be investigated in real time from the dashboard in order to instantly identify macro level statistical movements.

We also use Ops Dashboard for issue tracking. When an issue is actioned, we need to edit some attributes to mark it as resolved - at which point it will no longer meet the filter requirements and will be removed from the Dashboard. Currently this is a two-step process because we can't edit in the Dashboard. Very frustrating for our (non GIS) users who want this process to be as simple as possible. They have a very low tolerance for the current workaround. Adding the ability to edit attributes in Operations Dashboard would be a huge improvement.

Is there any activity within Esri relating to editing in Operations Dashboard?

Technically you can do this as it stands by embedding a web app such as:

Web AppBuilder with an Edit widget along with a URL parameter - this will zoom to the specific feature after which the user can edit via the popup

Survey123 via editable web forms - this will open the associated pre-populated web form which the user can update as appropriate

I had some trouble configuring the URL properly, and noticed the documentation is missing the itemID structure. Rather than adding ?find, it should be &find after the itemID.

Actually a little help is needed - is it possible to show the pop-up in edit mode? Right now, "find" opens a "callout marker" (without ability to edit) as opposed to the editor pop-up. It's an issue because these are a series of stacked points. Michael Kelly Jarom Hlebasko

We did end up using the Smart Editor widget instead. But ooh, that distinction between the query function vs. find really makes a difference. That does help! Do you know if there's a way to directly open the Smart Editor without having to click on the options button?

Thank you Dante. I was able to figure it out after a little bit of tinkering. However I am now running into an issue where dateTime questions are being converted to AM time by default. For example:
