Explanation of UI/UX Issue:

When a user selects a specific record from the list element on the left side of the dashboard, the map view automatically zooms or pans to that project's location. (as designed) However, if this change results in the map's extent increasing significantly (or if the user decides to zoom out), the user's original selection often moves down the list, making it harder to quickly deselect or revert back to the full map view.

The current recommended UI path for users who cannot seem to unselect their previous selection is to (a) utilize the 'Reset' button or (b) make a different selection from the Project List.

Proposed Enhancement:
Introduce a configurable setting to maintain (lock) the user's selection on List Element while navigating within the project's map extent. This setting will ensure the selected item remains visible for the user.
