Community Analyst error report data to boundary layer

Hello,

I am using the community analyst add on in the desktop ArcMap. I would like to display my reports in my map but I have recieved this error after checking the box "Download report data to boundary layer"

This is the error that I received:

"Report data won't be joined back to boundary layer because it doesnt contain AREA_ID field. Please, select valid Area ID field on Preferences Page."

I tried adding this "AREA_ID" field but this did not help. Do I need to put areas into the field?

Ok actually I have managed to get rid of the error window but now there is just no resulting join..

Can you provide any details as to the type of polygon file you are working with and if you had created the polygon what tool was used. I would be happy to take a look at the polygon file if you can attach it zipped to a reply in this thread. If you prefer not to have it public just PM me and we can look at alternatives.
