topic Unable to Create Version for Offline Mode due to dot ('.') in user name in ArcGIS Collector Questions

I have recently upgraded our Portal to 10.3.1 and am trying to take maps offline in Collector. However, I am unable to do so because when Collector creates a version, it is using my username. Our usernames are setup to use the format 'first.last@domain.com'. The dot in the username is not allowed when creating a version.

Does anyone know of a workaround to allow this to work?

Is there some sort of workaround to allow for this to happen? All of our users have this same naming format and there appears to be no way around using our username to create a version for Offline Data Collection in Collector.

As off now, No.

As dots (.) are not supported in version names----dot (.) in username will also affect the version as a whole..

The only workaround is to use an account without a dot in the user name.

This appears to be quite a limitation to any user who would like edit data in collector offline that has a dot in the user name..
