Android Collector Beta USB external GPS with Trimble Catalyst

Hi,

We have been able to connect our new Trimble Catalyst to the old version of Esri Collector via USB just fine. However our new basemaps only work on the new beta version on android, they fail to load on the old version.

When we try to connect the esri collector beta to trimble catalyst it doesnt connect due to collector looking for bluetooth devices only and catalyst being a usb device only.

Has the usb connection purposely been removed in the beta version during testing and will this return in the full release of the android version of Collector?

I have figured this out for anyone interested.

1. Went to the devices settings and enabled developer options by tapping build no. repeatedly
2. Went to developer options in settings and enabled mock location and selected trimble mobile manager
3. Connected Catalyst and loaded up Trimble Mobile Manager then selected connect.
4. Once Trimble mobile manager was fully connected and operating differential gps click on share catalyst location directly below the connect button
5. Go back to Esri Collector ensure the integrated GPS antenna height is set to 2m and corrections from Catalyst will overwrite the integrated solution from the Samsung device
