I currently see a resolution for a workaround to gathering instant elevation data. Knowing a GPS unit sync'd in Collector for ArcGIS will gather altitude information, we can upload a raster to use a custom expression to use a geometry function to extract the value on the raster from the points location to subtract the geoid value from the altitude value to get a live elevation.</P><P></P><P>I'm working on a polygon version of this by converting a surface to a set of polygons, if possible, to demonstrate how this would be useful. I'll also be providing benchmarks for accuracy from our survey department on a project we're working on to demonstrate the accuracy of this information.
