topic Import example gives warnings when providing rules to imported files in ArcGIS CityEngine Questions

Just a note for next release, the example in the documentation for the "Import" command, entitled "Combining two facades with a structure", generates "undefined rule" warnings. I wanted to use this technique of filling in rules from imported files, but the warnings tend to make the code editor messy, though it does seem to work fine.

Hi !

This behavior is actually correct since each CGA file is parsed for itself.

So undefined rules just give that yellow warning. For some ways how to import stuff, you are not able to get rid of those yellow warnings and have the system still work.

If there's just yellow warnings, everything's ok. Only if it's a red error you won't be able to generate the model.

Cheers !

Matt
