I do this all the time and have no issues whatsoever. What are the KML files? Are they georeferenced properly?

Thank you for your replying. I am not sure about the projection of KML but it is correct when I import into ArcMap, it is in right place (and in the right place when I open with good earth). This is my first time to import KML to CityEngine. Is there a way to check what's wrong with the KML data? Thanks a lot!

Please first try to import the KML file into an empty scene.
Also check the Log window (Menu > Window > Log) for any error message.
