Hello All

I have installed City Engine on my system using 30 day trial version. I need to test the software for building roof texturing using Ortho rectified imagery. I think it is possible in ESRI City Engine. When I execute the program, it shows error that

'The procedure entry point SymRefreshModuleList could not be located in the dynamic link library dbghelp.dll'

If I give ok then another error came that

'This application has failed to start because com.esri.prt.core.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem'

Then I re-install the program and again tried but the problem exists. But the software opens with the error. I cannot import or use the software. I have attached screen shots of the error.

My system configuration are

OS: Windows XP 64 bit, Service pack 2
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600k
RAM: 16 GB
CPU: 3.40 GHz
Display: NVIDIA Quadro FX 550

Kindly help me to fix this issue.

Thank you

Original User: matthiasbuehler

Hi,

Windows XP has a too old version of dbghelp.dll. This is one of the reasons why we don't officially support XP anymore. Try installing the newest version ( see link below ), but we're not sure if this will solve all issues.

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ms679309(v=vs.85).aspx

If it doesn't work, I recommend to upgrade the OS or maybe a new computer .. 😛

Matt
