Resolution of BA data market data

Hi everyone - I'm new here and appreciate this resource.

I am curious at what level I can work with some of the market research data in BA -- for example some of the stuff that comes from mri simmons on detailed spending and travel, and other behaviors (as well as Tapestry)? I am working on a project where we are hoping to drill down to a pretty detailed spatial level (sub county). Is there a best-practice for the maximum resolution that should be used? County, Zip, tract ....?

The smallest Market Potential data geography level is at the census block group. It is available in a number of products: Business Analyst Web App, Business Analyst Pro/Desktop products, ArcGIS Online, also can be purchased as raw data.
