idea Create custom template with grids - better control in ArcGIS Business Analyst Ideas

When creating a custom template with grids, it is ridiculously difficult to control with fine accurate control.

I want to be able to set up my page as particular size, with particular margins... and that be set... once.

I then want to be able to make a grid within that set up, that divides the space that is left (not constantly have to re-set the page size - I just don't get the logic here!!).

I want to be able to set the grid widths individually (if needed), then lock that dimension (while setting up the blank template), so it doesn't accidentally re-size.

I want to be able to type in the width I want, not have to be constrained to a 2mm increment that doesn't really make any sense if dividing the space up.

I'd like to be able to set a "gutter" between panels, to make sure the content doesn't get too close to each other.

Simpler, more logical control would be great.
