      <title>Viewing the REST Services..</title>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;This should be a pretty simple fix but it has slipped my mind at this point.&amp;nbsp; I have been able to view the services running on my machine using &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A href="http://localhost/arcgis/rest/services"&gt;http://localhost/arcgis/rest/services&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; for the past few weeks but for some reason I get a Page Cannot be Found today.&amp;nbsp; arcGIS Server is running and I was able to make map services through Catalog.&amp;nbsp; Whats the deal here?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Many Thanks&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I was having the same problem but found solution.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;1.Remove the ArcGIS instance using AddInstance.exe. And recreate ArcGIS instance.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;OR&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2.Create another instance(ArcGIS2) and copy its rest.config file on to the old one. But do not forget to replaces instance name(ArcGIS2) to ArcGIS in the rest config.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I hope it works for your problem.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;BLOCKQUOTE class="jive-quote"&gt;Hi Paul-&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I can't get either of those links to work.&amp;nbsp; I still get a page cannot be found.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; What do I need to check for on the IIS side of things?&amp;nbsp; I'm still able to create map services and view them but not much else.&lt;/BLOCKQUOTE&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I assume you are using IIS7 or 7.5.&amp;nbsp; If so, open IIS and expand the website folder where your ArcGIS server stuff is installed (probably Default Web Site).&amp;nbsp; Expand the ArcGIS folder and click on the &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;rest&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; virtual directory.&amp;nbsp; On the right side of the dialog, under the Action menu you will see a number of options.&amp;nbsp; Under the &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;Manage Application/Browse Application &lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;section click on one of the links that are provided.&amp;nbsp; This section should provide you with links to the available bindings for your ArcGIS server sites.&amp;nbsp; Another thing to check is the application pool that is being used for your application.&amp;nbsp; If you are using AGS 10 you should be using the ArcGISServicesAppPool.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Thanks,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

In our case, we also have ASP.NET 4.0 registered with IIS on the same machine &amp;amp; windows update feels the need to make that the only version of .NET that is allowed to run. To fix this - simply go to IIS manager, click on the Web Service Extensions node, make sure that ASP.Net 2.0 32-bit is "Allowed" instead of prohibited. It sounds like that could be your issue as well.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
