Culture layers in map document

Hi

We are using map document with set of 100 layers and published as a service and consuming them in sliverlight application. Among 100 layers nearly 50 layers are culture layers, how do I distinguish these layers from the rest of layers. I DO NOT want grouping for layers because we have lot of functionality based on layers hence I don't want group them.

What is better way, I cannot add any description on each layer say this is "Culture" etc .

I want distinguish these layers in map document and able to differentiate in Sliverlight application easily. Please provide me some pointers

I suppose you have one map service with more than 100 layers. If you need more detailed information of the layers, you can through the rest api get information in JSON format. Probably there you will get the information if it is a culture layer or not (some field ?).

Thanks Johnny. I am not getting any information (specific field) to identify that layer is culture layer or not. Please let me know if there is any other help.
