Overview Map - Binding Extent

In ESRI's provided source code, http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/silverlight/samples/start.htm#OverviewMap,
the overview map's extent does not bind with the mainpage map, but use the initially set extent. How can it be dynamically bind with the mainpage map?

ESRI's Jenniffer commented that she would look at it? Has this problem be solved? Thanks.

The OverviewMap binds to a map, not its extent. It does however update its extent based on the map's extent.

The issue in the second link is when you switch out of the tab, the OverviewMap becomes blank until you change the map's extent again. This bug still exists and we are working on getting this fixed.

Ok, I'm getting the same exact error. Its 2013. With that being said, am I using an outdated control? I initially open the map, then after closing the usercontrol, and reopening it, it goes blank. I have the adjust the extent before the control realizes it needs to re-draw the screen.

The original issue was in 2010? Am I doing something wrong?
