I can always add maps and scalebar controls to my pages without any problem. I can usually add overview maps, navigation controls etc but sometimes get an hresult e_fail message. If I try to add a toolbox or some of the other controls then i get a Hresult e_fail message.&nbsp; I have been using the 2.0 version of the arcgis api.
