Could you give more info about this serialization issue?

There is many working samples which are serializing polylines and/or polygons:(http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/silverlight/samples/start.htm#Lengths, http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/silverlight/samples/start.htm#AreasAndLengths, ...).

So the issue is probably depending on your context.

I have a map control developed with v1.2 and SL3 and a number of Arcobjects webservices used to update spatial data. The webservices accept ESRI geometries as part of the signature.

Recently I have migrated to API v2.0 and SL4. After the migration there seems to be a problem with the geometry serialization. The only webservice that is working is the one that accept Mappoints. Has anyone encountered this problem.
