I then added another grid between the first two so that grid "LayoutRoot" contains grid "MainGrid" which contains grid "MapGrid". This was done so that I could wrap the entire window in a ScrollViewer. Now for some reason which I cannot figure out, I cannot pan the map, either initially upon load or after clicking the toolbar pan icon.
