Area and Distance Measurement Components

Building on this 'Solution'... Solved: Distance Measurement Component - change initial to... - Esri Community

Using the Expand widget replaces the button with an Icon but does not address the customization of the underlying 'New Measurement' button. Why is this an issue? Because the Area and Distance measurement component look exactly the same, and it's not a stretch to suggest users may need both tools in the same map...

How can we customize these two Components button-labels to distinguish them? ... Bonus points if we can use the Expand Component with the 'Measure' icon (referenced above) and also have both Measurement Components with meaningful text-labels (i.e., "Measure Area", or "New Area Measurement").

Hi @D_Atkins, thanks for posting your question here. I think I understand the difficulty of the situation you're describing. While we consider this internally, can you post this as an Idea here: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-javascript-maps-sdk-ideas/idb-p/arcgis-api-for-javascript-ideas
so that other users could vote on it and add their use cases? I think this is worth considering.
