topic Reopening Issue with Transparency in MapImageLayer Sublayers in ArcGIS JavaScript Maps SDK Questions

Hi everyone,

I’d like to reopen the issue described here. The problem persists in JavaScript SDK versions 4.28, 4.29, 4.30, and 4.31—transparency settings only work for the main MapImageLayer and the lowest-level sublayers (leaves), but not for intermediate sublayers. Other properties, like visible, work as expected, but transparency changes don’t seem to trigger a redraw.

To illustrate the issue, I’ve prepared a CodePen example: Codepen

Has anyone found a workaround for this? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi @Jakar, thanks for posting your issue here. Looking at the app and the layers in the MapServer, I'm having trouble understanding the issue. Can you share more information about what you're doing and seeing and expecting with specific layers or features? Feel free to message me directly if you prefer.
