BasemapGallery dropdown breaking connection after certain time?

Hello all!

I added the ESRI BasemapGallery to a dropdown div I created and customized the list to only 3 basemaps.

The BasemapGallery works just fine switching between basemaps, but after several minutes of down-time the basemap icons 'break'. see images before and a little bit after. a refresh brings them all back.

anybody see this happen? thx!

..Spoke too soon. it's back. after some time(an hour?) with the window minimized and re-maximized, the Basemaps have a 'broken' icon. it must be some level of a 'time out' issue with the Basemap widget? very odd. if anyone has any ideas.

here is a screenshot of what is showing in the Network tab if this helps anyone..

..Im going to keep adding more content to this strangeness. the switching of Basemaps still works, even when the 'broken' image icon exists. so, there is some break in the icon widget itself, but the Basemap widget still works..
