Measurements inside 360 panoramic images

Hi everyone.

I would love to know how I can measure from inside a 360 panoramic image. I can use the measurement tool on the 3D DEM, but I would like to measure distances, height etc of assets from in the 360 image. I don't really know where to start!

I've read about using Lidar and a point cloud but that creates a model something too similar to the DEM. I've also read that I would need two images of the object/asset/area from different angles?

Any help would be appreciated.🙂

Hi @LaurenFisher,

This functionality is actively under development and will be released as part of the Oriented Imagery Viewer. I would expect to see support for 360 panoramas in the JS SDK sometime in the next few releases, but can't commit to an exact release date at this time.

Hi Lauren, this is on our roadmap, though the timing is still up in the air. I'd suggest adding it to ArcGIS Ideas so other users can upvote it!
