topic Refresh of binned layer symbology using SDK in ArcGIS JavaScript Maps SDK Questions

Hi, I have created a bin-enabled point layer using PostGreSQL with server-side dymic binning, no caching and have published it as a map service. I am aware that there are binning options for the client using the SDK, but they are not performant enough for the number of points I am working with. I have gotten to the point of viewing the published service in ArcPro, but have noticed that the documentation for ArcPro says that if a definition query is applied, recalculation of the bin range needs to be triggered by clicking on a UI button. My layer contains observations of many plant species and when I select a different species, I need the symbology and bins to adapt to the new range, some have over 100k observations, otheres only 500. Does anyone know how I would trigger this bin recalculation when accessing the layer using the JS SDK with a query containing a definition query expression? Will a map or layer refresh be enough or is it not possible from the SDK. Many thanks,

Toadfish
