How many shapefiles can we render onto a map?

Hi,

Can anyone please help me with how many shape files can we render onto a map? Are there any limitations on the number of shape files to use?

Hi Chitra,

Rendering a shape file to browser is not a good idea. Instead convert that to a

1. Map Service

2. json

3. Geojson

which is ideal and ESRI has plenty of API(method, properties) to handle these kind of data.
