topic hitTest return z from 3D layer in 2D view in ArcGIS JavaScript Maps SDK Questions

<P>I'm trying to get the z value from a 3D point feature when clicked on in a 2D view. Is this possible? From another post, I found that setting the outFields of the feature layer to ['*'] results in all attributes being returned when a point in the layer is clicked on, so I tried to set returnZ and hasZ for the layer to true, but still don't get the z value.</P>
