topic ArcGIS tiled map service layer - It is possible to perform map actions with expired token in ArcGIS JavaScript Maps SDK Questions

Hi.
When accessing a token based authenticated ArcGIS tiled map service layer, Once token is expired user can still perform map actions (panning/zoom) and tile requests are sent to the server with an expired token, but returns 200 OK and map is displayed as if token is still valid.
I have only encountered that behavior with tiled map service layer - other service layer types behave as I would expect once token is expired (requests with an expired token returns error).
Is this a designed behavior for tiled map service layers? I
