Tiled Service need help

HI All,

I have to limit zoom in and zoom out in my application , i was using dynamic map services and found that there is support for limiting zoom in and zoom out unless i actually build some logic onExtentChange check for some limit which i felt was annoying experience for user .

SO i thought of using tiled services where i can set zoom level but since i am new to this GIS and arcgis concepts , i have one doubt if i use tiled services which have different levels in it do i have to create different feature layer for different levels ?

Hi Vinay,

To limit zoom in and zoom out you need not do that on the on extent change you can mention extent property for the map else or the levels in for the map you can set it to individual layer also.You don't need to create feature layer for individual zoom level.

So i don't have to shift to Tiled service for limiting zoom levels ?
Please explain extent property setting as you told?
