JavaScript API SteamLayer labelingInfo property

Has anyone been able to label a GeoEvent streaming layer with the Javascript API? I found a property on the streamlayer, but I can't seem to get it to work.

To test it, I tried to incorporate that code into the Seattle Bus Sample page Esri has at Stream Layer | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 3.20 , but it seemed to break the code and web map stopped drawing. I was just trying to get the points to label with the BusNo field value.
