How to draw the geometry with in a particular buffer distance

Hello All,

I need to draw the geometries within particular buffer distance provided .If we try to draw the geometry outside the distance
measured it should give us an alert message. This I need to do in javascript.

In the above link we are having the buffer parameters along with distances but I did not get the idea from which coordinate
distance is measured. I tries to draw outside the measured distance but still I did not find any change.

Please provide some suggestions..
