Editing with ArcGIS.com Viewer throws error with your proxy

Hi:
I view the following feature service in the ArcGIS.com Viewer:

http://172.23.0.27/ArcGIS/rest/services/CommunityMapsExchange/Buildings/FeatureServer/0

However, when I try to edit a feature with the ArcGIS.com Viewer I get a "503 Service Unavailable" message. In Firebug we can see it's trying to go thru the ArcGIS.com proxy:

http://www.arcgis.com/sharing/proxy?http://172.23.0.27/ArcGIS/rest/services/CommunityMapsExchange/Buildings/FeatureServer/0/applyEdits

Is this error produced on your end or ours?

Problem Solved. The error was on our end: the IP address was not public. This endpoint now works in the ArcGIS.com Viewer:

http://66.48.64.126/ArcGIS/rest/services/CommunityMapsExchange/Buildings/FeatureServer/0
