Need timeout while typing in the search widget.

Hi,

I use Search Widget in JS 4.13.

When I type in the search field, the search call API at once. I would like to have some timeout after when last symbol was typed in. I cannot find this property here Search | ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.13

It is possible to set such timeout? How?

I think you're talking about the suggestions returned from the Search widget? I don't think we have a way to delay the suggestions being returned.

May be it can be taken to consideration?

I would suggest to add "suggestionDelay" in milliseconds. Default can be 0.

It will significant reduce number of requests while users typing.

I would recommend going through Technical Support and getting an enhancement logged. This way they can do all the proper testing and vetting.
