Controlling zoom scales

Hi all,

I would like to know how to control zoom scales or fix like 5-6 zoom factors for a map . I would also like to know if I can control the zoom factors by using a zoom scale file. Thanks in advance.

you will need to add more detail if you want a decent reply from somebody. What language or application are you requesting the info for?

I am sorry for the inadequate information provided before.

I am working on a web application using javascript. I require to control the zoom scales as there are some zoom scales which are not required.

Gayathri,

you can specify what zoom scales you wish to use by using the LODs property of the map:
