Can't Use WMSLayer - TypeError: this.extent is undefined

I am using ArcGIS API for Javascript 3.2 and performing a simple test on using WMSLayer. However, I am unable to use the WMSLayer. Instead, I get these errors in Firebug:
[ATTACH=CONFIG]18258[/ATTACH]

I have modified the Esri sample located at http://help.arcgis.com/EN/webapi/javascript/arcgis/help/jssamples_start.htm#jssamples/layers_wms.html in order to suit my environment-specific information such as my ArcGIS Server IP address and map services hosted on my ArcGIS Server.

This modified Esri sample is attached to this post; it is named WMSTest.txt. Due to attachment restrictions, I had to change the .html extension to .txt. Alos, in order to protect proprietary information, I have replaced our ArcGIS Server IP address and map service names with the following respective placeholders: [My_ArcGIS_Server_IP] and [My_Map_Service_Name].

Any suggestions or answers would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

the script you posted is using the 2.1 api

If you're using ArcGIS Server services, why not use ArcGISDynamicMapServiceLayer?

@jeff.pace: You're correct. I meant to post another file. Sorry about that. I won't update the attachment as I am simply going to create another thread that more accurately describes my issue.

@swingley: I need to answer your question by rewinding and explaining what I'm attempting. This thread is not exactly relevant to the real problem I am experiencing. I will reply with a link to the new thread shortly. Thanks!
